Madhumanti Dasgupta

I joined this lab as a PhD student in August 2013. I have done my Bachelors and Masters in Biochemistry from University of Delhi.  My project involves determining if and how neuronal receptors regulate the innate immunity during infection of C. elegans with various microbial pathogens.

I have completed M.Sc(Integrated) in Systems Biology from University of Hyderabad. I joined PhD in August,2013 and I am looking at olfactory behavior during Pathogen recognition in C. elegans. I am also interested in Host Pathogen co-evolution.

Undergraduate Student

Shruti Nagaraja

I have done my graduation in life sciences, from Gargi College, Delhi University and post graduation from The Oxford College of Science, Bangalore. My work involves screening of neuronal mutations in C elegans to study their effect on longevity and ageing.
My interests lies in studying ageing and I am looking for ways in which we can address some questions regarding the same. I enjoy handling worms and maintaining them.

Geetika Verma

I am doing my M.tech from VIT, Vellore and currently doing my final year M.tech project on the topic 'Genetic analysis of C. elegans immune response to fungal pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans '.

I am doing my M.Sc. from Amrita School of Biotechnology and currently doing final year project entitled 'Genetic Analysis of signalling pathways involved in the regulation of longevity in C. elegans.

Himani Galagali

I am a student here at the undergraduate programme of IISc.  I love Biology and I enjoy Physics. I am passionate about Bharatnatyam dance and Indian music. I am part of Notebook Drive, an initiative in campus to make education fun for the financially challenged children. At the lab, I will be exploring the role of neuronal genes that regulate lifespan in Caenorhabditis elegans.
